Cruise May Say Our Name Is Adam

Tom Cruise appears to be on one of his science fiction kicks (no jokes about you know-what-ology, please) recently, given that he’s already shot Joseph Kosinski’s Oblivion and is now at work on Doug Liman’s **All You Need Is **Kill. But those may not have been enough to sate him, as Variety reports that he’s also attached to a new spec script called Our Name Is Adam.

Right now, nothing is known about the plot of TS Nowlin’s screenplay beyond that title (which, if you ask us, hints at cloning) and the fact that Mary Parent is attached to produce.

And let’s get one thing clear: Cruise is offered everything in Hollywood, even a few rom coms where the lead character is clearly supposed to be a female high-school student (probably). He’s also got a typically loaded plate of projects already in development, including the Magnificent Seven remake, a new Van Helsing and another outing for Ethan Hunt and the Mission: Impossible team. So a loose attachment like this one means nothing just yet.

Still, Nowlin seems to have a talent for putting out work that attracts names: his sci-fi action script Agent 13 has Rupert Wyatt in the director’s chair and Charlize Theron down to star.

As for Cruise, he’ll next be seen in Jack Reacher, which puts the hurt on our screens this December 26. Check out the latest trailer below.
