The cast for the next two seasons of The Crown is continuing to grow. Show runner Peter Morgan has reached into a past project's ensemble to reunite with actor Jason Watkins, who will play Prime Minister Harold Wilson.

Wilson served two terms of PM, and will interact with Oliva Colman's take on Queen Elizabeth II. The cast is evolving as the story moves on to the later 1960s, 1970s and 1980s across the next couple of seasons, and Tobias Menzies was also added as Prince Philip.

In related Crown news, Helena Bonham Carter has officially been confirmed to play Princess Margaret, inheriting the role from Vanessa Kirby. "I’m not sure which I’m more terrified about – doing justice to the real Princess Margaret or following in the shoes of Vanessa Kirby’s Princess Margaret," Bonham Carter says in a statement. "The only thing I can guarantee is that I’ll be shorter." The new season should be on Netflix later this year.

Watkins, who appeared in Morgan's The Lost Honour Of Christopher Jefferies has roles in The Man Who Killed Don Quixote and A Very English Scandal.
