Powerhouse writing duo Roberto Orci and Alex Kurtzman have added another project to their crowded schedule.

The pair – who worked on Mission: Impossible III and have written the latest draft of Transformers – are already down to write the next Star Trek movie with M:I director (and their former Alias boss) JJ Abrams.

Now they’ll also produce and develop Red Cell, about a group of disaster experts being picked off one by one and forcing intelligence brain trusts to figure out which of their predictions will come true next. Ben Ripley is the main writer behind the idea, who researched the idea with his sister Amanda, a writer on National Security issues for Time Magazine.
