While still keeping one foot successfully in the music world Common has been building a healthy career in movies, both in front of the camera and behind it, to Oscar-winning effect. And after appearing in John Wick: Chapter Two, he's gearing up to star in a new revenge thriller, known as Quick Draw.
Though it sounds like a Western, it'll actually be set in present-day Los Angles, but the team behind it, including writer/director Harris Goldberg and producer Lorenzo di Bonaventura, is keeping quiet about the exact plot details for now. All that has been announced so far is that it'll feature intense shoot-outs, choreographed car chases and hand-to-hand combat. So those of you hoping for an action thriller that is mostly the leads wandering through sunny fields while rabbits hop happily around will be disappointed yet again.
The cameras should be cranking in the summer, and Common has several other movies on the way, including Hunter Killer, The Tale and RZA's Coco (not to be confused with the Pixar movie due later this year).
