What a cast for what a director. Empire Online's intellectual tastebuds well and truly tingled this morning when news filtered down to us that the great and wonderful acting colossus that is Tim Robbins is to team up with our very own Samantha Morton and Michael Winterbottom for a production in good old Blighty. 24 Hour Party People director Winterbottom, has bagged two of the biggest talents around to star in his new film Code 46, an intriguing futuristic love story which starts shooting in London next month. The clever premise for this sci-fi smoochfest finds a man and woman happily going about an affair until they have to go on the run after the authorities find out she's been cloned from the chap's mother's DNA and decide to hunt them down. Freudian? Just don't even go there. It's been far too long since we've had the great fortune of witnessing Tim Robbins in all his thespian glory but with upcoming thriller The Truth about Charlie from Jonathan Demme, Clint Eastwood's star-packed drama Mystic River and now Code 46 in the works, the man's back to show others exactly how to do it. And with Winterbottom's always reliable direction, the fantastic Minority Report star Morton and a very juicy sounding plot, this looks like a good 'un indeed.
