He might be best known these days as Agent Phil Coulson on Agents Of S.H.I.E.L.D., but Clark Gregg always makes time during his summer months off from the show to squeeze in non-Marvel work. Gregg has joined Pierce Brosnan, Guy Pearce, Minnie Driver and Odeya Rush in Spinning Man.

Matthew Aldrich adapted George Harrar's book for the story, which finds Pearce as a philosophy professor and seemingly devoted family man called Evan whose skeletons comes rattling out of the closet and the wider world learns of his various relationships with some students.

To make things even more complicated, a young woman is murdered and the prof becomes the prime suspect. While Deadline's story doesn't mention what Brosnan, Driver or Rush are playing in the film, Gregg is a lawyer named Paul who investigates the legality of Evan's relationships.

Simon Kaijser directed the film, and it should be on screens later this year. Gregg will be back as Coulson for the fifth season of S.H.I.E.L.D., which will launch in the autumn.
