Christian Slater, fresh from spending a little quality time in prison for resisting arrest and being under the influence of cocaine and alcohol, is the latest movie star to go back to the stage. He's landed a role in a Broadway play, Side Man, for at least three months when it reopens next month. He plays Clifford, the son of a jazz musician whose career had a disruptive effect on Clifford's childhood.
