After tackling technology with Robots, Chris Wedge is going organic.

He’s working again with William Joyce – the fertile brain behind Shrek and Robots – and will direct an adaptation of Joyce’s The Leaf Men And The Brave Good Bugs.

Joyce is working with Jim V Hart to script a fleshed out version of the skimpy illustrated tale, which sees a group of noble insects battle to save a garden from an evil queen, which leads to them needing reinforcements in the form of the legendary Leaf Men.

But bugs as heroes? Again? Is no one worried after The Ant Bully died at the box office? Clearly not…
