Having worked well together on Wonder Woman, director Patty Jenkins and co-star Chris Pine snuck in a TV miniseries before both reported for duty on the superhero sequel. The first trailer for the small screen drama, I An The Night is now online.

The miniseries, which was originally titled One Day She'll Darken, is inspired by the incredible true story of Fauna Hodel (India Eisley), a young woman who was given away at birth. As Fauna begins to investigate the secrets to her past, she follows a sinister trail that leads her to infamous Hollywood gynecologist, Dr. George Hodel (Jefferson Mays), a man involved in the darkest Hollywood debauchery.

Pine stars as Jay Singletary, a former Marine-turned-hack-reporter/paparazzo who was disgraced by his reporting on the Hodel case and looks for some redemption by following Fauna's story.

Sam Sheridan and Monica Beletsky wrote the six-episode drama, which is scheduled to air in the States on cable channel TNT this coming January. There is no information on a UK date or home yet, but like TNT's The Alienist, this could head to Netflix.
