Good grief… Chris Hemsworth had better find time to squeeze in a quick holiday after shooting The Avengers, because from the sound of it, he’s going to be awfully busy for the next few years. The actor has just added to his bustling pile of projects by entering talks to play James Hunt in the racing drama Rush.

The role, which at one time was tipped for Alex Pettyfer, now looks set to be filled by the Thor man in the driving seat. If he locks in a deal, he’ll play Hunt, who battled rival Niki Lauda for dominance on the Formula One track in the ‘70s. Ron Howard is planning to direct from a script by Frost/Nixon’s Peter Morgan.

It’s just the latest in a wealth of film roles for the actor. As mentioned, he’s playing Thor again in The Avengers, and will then report to the set of Snow White and the Huntsman. From the looks of this, he’d likely slip Rush in after that before reporting back for more Norse duty on the superhero sequel that Marvel and Disney want in cinemas on July 26, 2013…
