Cross another big director off of Chloe Moretz’ wish list::a[the actress is now in talks to work with Tim Burton, as the director continues to build up his cast for** Dark Shadows**.]{href='http://www.deadline.com/2011/03/chloe-moretz-joins-dark-shadows/' target='_blank' rel='noopener noreferrer'}

Yes, the recent Empire Award-winner is certainly finding favour with filmmakers, and recently completed a stint working on Hugo Cabre****t with Martin Scorsese.

If she signs for Shadows, she’ll play Carolyn, the daughter of Michelle Pfeiffer’s troubled, reclusive Collins family matriarch Elizabeth Collins Stoddard.

And she’s not the only young actor linked to the film today, with Gulliver McGrath locked in to play the hotly contested role of David Collins. He has even more of a connection with Moretz, since he was one of the finalists to co-star with her in Cabret. Though he ultimately lost out on the role, he did score another, smaller part in the film.

The pair will join the likes of Pfeiffer, Johnny Depp, Helen Bonham Carter, Eva Green, Bella Heathcote, Jackie Earle Haley and the just-cast Thomas McDonell. There’s still no final word on whether Michael Sheen will also sign on, but Burton definitely wants him aboard.

Adapted from the 1960s Gothic horror soap, the film will chronicle the life and struggles of the Collins family, particularly the vampire Barnabas Collins (Depp). It’s scheduled to start shooting this month.
