Charity Begins In Venice

According to the Italian news agency ANSA, Michael Douglas donated $10,000 to the UN's Food and Agriculture Organization on Tuesday during the Venice Film Festival, presenting the cheque to officials at the UN stand. The group's stated goal is to cut the number of hungry people on the planet by half by the year 2015. Douglas was recently named a United Nations Messenger of Peace.
