Despite being busy making their next comedy (Beerfest), the Broken Lizard team – or at least director Jay Chandrasekhar – has found time to pick another project.
He’ll direct the comedy Ambulance Chasers for Warners via the Broken Lizard production company. Jon Zack has been hired to write the script, which will follow two fierce legal rivals battling to win a new personal injury client.
It’s not yet known whether Chandrasekhar will recruit the rest of the Lizards to star, or just have them polish the script and crop up in cameos as with last year’s Dukes Of Hazzard.
"I first met Jon after reading his hilarious script Crazy Train. He has an amazing ear for dialogue," Chandrasekhar told Variety. Train is just one of Zack’s jobs around Hollywood. He’s worked on Shrek The Third and wrote The Perfect Score. He also has another comedy, Seniors, which sees a college student developing an odd relationship with an older woman (Lily Tomlin) after he crashes his car into her house.
