She may not have made a film since a little something called Twilight, but Catherine Hardwicke has been spending the time since then getting her name attached to all manner of projects. And it’s possible she’s adding one more to the list: Dot War.

Pajiba’s source reports that the film comes off as a cross between War Games (punky young Matthew Broderick hacks military computer and nearly kicks off World War Three) and **Real Genius **(rebellious young Val Kilmer duped into working on nasty laser tech on college campus), and will see a video game programmer trained by the government to battle terrorists using virtual equipment. (So a bit like Ender's Game, anyone? ) As the guys at the site point out, it sounds like prime 3D material.

Given that the script apparently needs to be re-written, Hardwicke won’t get to Dot War for a while yet. In the meantime, she’ll be busy on The Girl With The Red Riding Hood, a new take on the classic fairy tale, which Amanda Seyfried is considering as one of her next projects.
