The mammoth cast for Martin Scorsese's Hugo Cabret, based on the beautiful children's book by Brian Selznick, has found another two members as Emily Mortimer and A Single Man's Michael Stuhlbarg add their names to the impressive list.

The film stars Asa Butterfield as the titular Hugo, who lives secretly inside the walls of a Paris train station in the Depression era, making his home behind the clock. The combination of a broken machine that he finds, an eccentric girl (Kick-Ass' Chloe Moretz) and a strange toy shop owner (Ben Kingsley) take him on in an unexpected direction.

Mortimer will be playing a flower shop worker at the station, with Stuhlbarg as a film restorer. Jude Law, Christopher Lee, Sacha Baron Cohen, Frances De La Tour, Helen McCrory, Ray Winstone and Richard Griffiths are also due to appear. John Logan wrote the script.

If you haven't read the book yet, we highly recommend it - even if you're not a kid. After all, there's a reason Scorsese loves it: it's really a story for cinema-lovers.
