Casino Royale Director Is Unstoppable

Is there anything Martin Campbell can't do? He's reinvented the Bond saga - twice. He launched Catherine Zeta-Jones on an unsuspecting world in the Zorro films. And casting Angelina Jolie in Beyond Borders led her to adopt Maddox, break up with Billy Bob and find happiness with Brad, as well as saving the world and generally making it cool to care in Hollywood. Now Campbell is planning to stop a runaway train in Unstoppable - and frankly we wouldn't bet against him.

The plot of the film pits a train engineer and conductor in a RACE AGAINST TIME as they race their locomotive to catch a RUNAWAY TRAIN and somehow stop it before it DERAILS on a curve in the track and the TOXIC WASTE on board poisons a small town below the railway!! Best. Premise. Ever. Honestly, they don't make enough films like this anymore and we just don't know why not.

The film was written by Mark Bomback, of Die Hard 4.0, so we'll have to watch that carefully to see if this will be any good. As if that weren't enough - wait for it; we swear these are the words that Variety used - 20th Century Fox has the project on fast track. Bad-dum-tisch.
