Steve Carell, still best known as Brick Tamland in Anchorman, but about to gain new fame as a 40 Year Old Virgin, has signed on for a new comedy for New Line, tentatively titled High T. But rest assured, this in no way involves cucumber sandwiches or Victoria sponge. In fact, the High T of the (working) title refers to the testosterone levels of the central character. We're guessing that he's weedy and unassuming, because he starts to take testosterone shots to try to macho himself up. Unfortunately for our hero, the injections have side-effects, causing his mood to swing from aggression to tears in no time at all. The premise sounds perfect for Carell, who has already demonstrated that he can turn mood on a dime, so let's hope that the script, by George 50 First Dates Wing, and supporting cast can match him. After his sexual misadventures in The 40 Year-Old Virgin, Carell also has upcoming roles in Little Miss Sunshine, about parents determined to make their young daughter a beauty queen; Over The Hedge, where he voices a squirrel alongside Bruce Willis and Garry Shandling, and Get Smart, where he'll play a bumbling secret agent. Which means there's going to be lots more Brick on our screens
