The next few months will see a couple of ninth entries in giant franchises. One arrives in December and just put out a new trailer. The lands in May and will probably features some vehicle trailers. Oh, and according to Vin Diesel's Instagram, Cardi B. Yes, Fast & Furious 9 or simply Fast 9, has added the music star for a small, yet-to-be-specified role.
Not much in known about the plot for this one, so we're just going to assume it finds Diesel's Dom and co. called upon to rescue the space shuttle using cars. Which would appear to defy logic, gravity and a variety of other physics laws, but those have only ever been a suggestion in this movie series.
There's no official summary yet, but we do know it'll see the return of Charlize Theron's Cipher and Helen Mirren's Magdalene Shaw, while John Cena, Finn Cole, Michael Rooker and more joining regulars Tyrese, Ludacris, Michelle Rodriguez, Nathalie Emmanuel and Jordana Brewster. Filming has taken place in Atlanta, Georgia (the Russia-adjacent one) and Scotland, and director Justin Lin is close to wrapping things up production-wise, and the movie will screech on to UK screens on 22 May next year.
