French soccer star Eric Cantona has secured his first English-speaking movie role, as a French nobleman in a film about Elizabeth I. Producer Tim Bevan says the former Manchester United player was not cast as a joke, but because "we think he can act." Eric, who made his debut in Le Bonheur est dans le pre as a rugby player, will star alongside Lord Attenborough and Oscar-winning Shine actor Geoffrey Rush.
