Despite rumours spreading like wildfire over the weekend, it's now been confirmed that Sharon Stone won't be appearing as the chief villain in Bond 19. Stone's manager Chuck Binder has said that the paper's story is completely wrong. Robbie Coltrane and Dame Judi Dench are both still supposed to be in it, though. If that's any consolation. Dench may well be making her final appearance, as there are rumours that M will be assassinated. Scripts have been finalised for the blockbuster and work on four huge sets has begun at London's Pinewood studios. What's the betting one of them is a huge lair for the baddie, with lots of walkways and gantries for men in black polo-neck jumpers to run about on and (more importantly) get shot down off of? The pic is expected to be released on November 19, 1999. By which time we'll all be deep in the throes of Millenium Panic and won't care.
