Cailee Spaeny In Talks For The Craft Remake

A new version of 1996's teen witch drama The Craft has been in the works for a while, but there has been some debate as to whether it'll be a remake or a sequel. But we do at least known that Bad Times At The El Royale's Cailee Spaeny will be one of the stars.

Zoe Lister-Jones in writing and directing her take on the story of a new arrival at a high school who seemingly finds her people in a coven of witches. But when one of them starts to misuses their power, allegiances shift and chaos rules.

Doug Wick is producing the film alongside Lucy Fisher and Jason Blum, and Sony will be distributing the result. Lister-Jones is looking to kick off shooting next month.

Spaeny has a role in Alex Garland's new TV series, Devs, set in the world of Silicon Valley. The show should be on screens later this year, but has no confirmed date yet.
