The miniseries – or, to give it its Stateside term, "limited series" – is back in a big way for the cable channels across the pond such as HBO and now Showtime. A new legal drama called Your Honor is ramping up, with Bryan Cranston on board to star.

Though he's been more focused on films of late, Cranston hasn't entirely abandoned the small screen – he produced and appeared in Sneaky Pete and had a hand in a variety of other series. For Your Honor, he'll play a respected judge whose son is involved in a hit-and-run that leads to a high-stakes game of lies, deceit and impossible choices.

This one comes from quite the combo of people with legal drama credentials. Adapting the Israeli series Kvodo (created by Ron Ninio and Shlomo Mashiach) is Peter Moffat, whose BAFTA-nabbing Criminal Justice served as the basis for The Night Of. He'll write multiple episodes of the planned 10, and is collaborating with Robert and Michelle King, co-creators of The Good Wife and The Good Fight, which both have featured some of the best judges brought to screens (admittedly more often for comic effect).

There's no director (or directors) confirmed yet, but the show will start production later this year in New Orleans.
