Back in 2008, Bryan Bertino’s home invasion horror thriller The Strangers surprised many when it turned out to a) be decent and b) profitable. And now he’s scored another job, making** This Man** for Sam Raimi’s Ghost House Pictures.

It’s an intriguing little premise, focusing on an ordinary man who finds that people he’s never met have seen him in their nightmares. And there’s even a sprinkling of truth in there: Ghost House grabbed the rights to a website created by an Italian sociologist, which helps those who claim to have seen him for real connect with one another.

Deadline reports that Raimi’s calling the new film “a hair raising story that will be sure to delight horror fans,” and he’s a man who knows scary when he sees it. No **Spider-Man 3 **budget jokes, please.
