Pierce Brosnan is to star in a biopic about legendary photographer Robert Capa, Variety reports. Brosnan, who's star has risen dramatically since taking the lead in the Bond series of movies, is to co-produce Blood and Champagne which is based on a treatment by writers David Bernath and Alex Kershaw, which Kershaw orignally wrote as an article for The Guardian newspaper. Capa made his name as a war photographer documenting the Spanish Civil war and WWII before turning his lens on 20th century icons like Pablo Picasso and Truman Capote. He died while on assignment in Indochina in 1954, killed by a landmine.
