Surprisingly, appearing in Just Go With It, Battleship and What To Expect When You’re Expecting did not put Brooklyn Decker off films for life. Now she’s joining what should be the best film of her career so far, adding a little female energy to the boys’ club that is Joe Carnahan’s **Stretch.

The details on this one seem to shift and change with each new news report on casting, but here’s the current state of play: Patrick Wilson plays a down-on-his-luck limo driver deep in debt to a bookie. The driver sees a chance to score some cash by driving a mysterious billionaire (Chris Pine) around.

Trouble is, this isn’t just a fun ride around clubs and swanky restaurants: the client is looking to sell his list of criminal associates to the highest bidder, which naturally means the trip from hell.

Ed Helms is aboard to play a fellow limo driver who cautions our hero not to get into too much trouble. We’re not sure he listens. Decker is set as Wilson’s ex-girlfriend, a label-obsessed party girl.

Carnahan is shooting this one on a low budget with backing from Jason Blum’s company. We’d expect it to roll into cinemas next year.
