The King Kong star will take the lead in Manolete alongside Penelope Cruz, about legendary bullfighter Manuel Rodriguez Sanchez (known as Manolete) and his love affair with actress Lupe Sino.
The ‘40s-set film will be written and directed by Menno Meyjes (Max) in Spain next year. And don’t expect a happy ending – Sanchez died in the ring in 1947, aged 30.
