We're so happy...

With four British actors having films in the running for this year's Oscars, Empire Online decided to track down a couple of them and find out how it feels to be on the shortlist for one of the film world's most prestigious gongs (bar this week's Empire awards, of course). Reactions from two of the actors we contacted were predictably joyous. 'I'm over the moon and honoured to be in such prestigious company,' said Jude Law, when told of his nomination for his career-breaking turn in A Talented Mr Ripley. 'It's thrilling news.' Also 'over the moon' was Ioan Gruffudd, who plays the lead role in Solomon and Gaenor, which is up for Best Foreign Language Film. 'It was brilliantly translated into the Welsh language,' Gruffudd said of the film. 'And it's great to again show the world what Wales has to offer.'
