Currently riding high with the success of Captain Marvel, Brie Larson's creative tastes have usually been located outside the superhero/blockbuster arena. And that's certainly the case with her directorial debut, Unicorn Store, which has a trailer online.

Written by Samantha McIntyre, Unicorn Store finds Larson playing a young woman named Kit lacking direction in life and facing moving back in with her parents. Working a soul-crushing temp job, she receives a mysterious invitation to a store that will change her ideas about whether she truly needs to grow up. And yes, that is Samuel L. Jackson as the mysterious Salesman who offers her the chance to fulfill a childhood dream.

With Bradley Whitford, Joan Cusack, Karan Soni, Ryan Hansen, Hamish Linklater and Annaleigh Ashford in the cast, Unicorn Store hits Netflix on 5 April.
