Brian Tyree Henry has had a very good couple of years, with roles in a variety of high profile and acclaimed projects such as TV's Atlanta, If Beale Street Could Talk and Spider-Man: Into The Spider-Verse. He's now locking down a deal to star in a pulpy new thriller called They Cloned Tyrone.

Juel Taylor, who was one of the main writers on Creed II, co-wrote the script with Tony Rettenmaier and will direct. The story finds an unlikely trio on the trailer of a nefarious government conspiracy. We're guessing that – stay with us here – cloning might just be involved.

Production company Macro nabbed the rights to the script after a bidding war against several studios and has had this one on the development track.

As for Henry's he's showing no signs of taking it easy, with the Child's Play reboot, comedy Superintelligence and thriller Woman In The Window all due out this year and Godzilla Vs Kong stomping our way in 2020.
