Bratz Gets A Director

We suppose somebody had to do it, and now the director for the live-action film based of the Bratz line of dolls has been chosen.

Sean McNamara, who has helmed, among other things, Raise Your Voice and that American classic 3 Ninjas: High Noon At Mega Mountain, is the man tasked with bringing the adventures of Yasmin, Ari, Cloe and Jade to the big screen.

John Doolittle’s script follows the four very different girls who learn important lessons about life, friendship and never giving in to social pressures. Apparently. But don’t scoff - the previously announced film has a massive franchise backing it up, with Bratz merchandise selling by the truckload and the logo on everything from DVDs, an animated show and a number one album (on the US Billboard Children’s Chart, but still…), and this juggernaut’s not stopping any time soon.
