Bradley Whitford might be busy leaping from just-cancelled US show The West Wing to the new Aaron Sorkin drama Studio 60, but he’s also finding time to squeeze in a film this summer.
He’s joined the cast of An American Crime, the true-life tale of 16-year-old Sylvia Likens (Ellen Page), who died while in the care of Gertrude Baniszewski (Catherine Keener). Whitford will play the prosecuting attorney in the resulting trial.
Co-written and currently being directed by Ella Enchanted’s Tommy O’Haver, the film should be in cinemas next year.
