Brad Pitt Smuggles Dope

Brad Pitt has declared himself extremely interested in playing a drug smuggler in Smuggler's Moon, the life story of Kris and Bill Shaffer. He's close to signing a "seven figure deal". The two men managed to use a documentary film company, who specialised in deep-sea treasure diving films, as a front for a marijuana smuggling operation - a deception they managed to maintain for twenty years before being caught and serving six years in prison. Now they're out, and they want to make a movie. New Line Cinema has bought the rights to what's being billed as a latter-day Butch Cassidy and the Sundance Kid. Presumably they smuggled the stuff in on a bicycle.
