Bill Pullman

This might seem like something of a demotion given that Bill Pullman has played a president in two Independence Day movies, but he's happily taking a change in status for a new project. He's part of the cast for Adam McKay's film about Dick Cheney.

McKay's follow-up to The Big Short currently goes by the name Backseat, and has Christian Bale as Cheney, with Steve Carell as Donald Rumsfeld and Amy Adams as Cheney's wife, Lynne. As for Pullman, he will play Nelson Rockefeller, the 46th Vice President.

A son of one of America's richest families, and a frequent wannabe prez himself, Rockefeller was governor of New York for 14 years and, while serving as Gerald Ford's second-in-command, he sparred often with the man's chief of staff... Dick Cheney.

Looking to chart Cheney's rise to the VP position under George W. Bush (where many suspected he was the true power behind the throne), Backseat should be shooting soon.
