Patton Oswalt, probably best known either as Remy's voice in Ratatouille or as the stand-up responsible for this **Star Wars prequel rant,starred in Big Fan, which premiered at Sundance to some bemusement, but which looks rather good on the evidence of this trailer on Yahoo.
Directed by The Wrestler screenwriter Robert D. Siegel, the story follows Oswalt's Paul, a devoted fan of the New York Giants who lives with his mother and spends his downtime calling radio shows to defend his team. But when he follows star linebacker Quantrell Bishop to a stripclub, events unfold that change his life and put him in the centre of a tug-of-war between family and club.
Big Fan is out in the US on August 28, and hopefully here soon after.
