It's been a while since Ben Stiller sat in the director's chair for a film – he's largely been working on small screen shows following 2016's Zoolander sequel. He's now plotting a return to movies thanks to Oscar Isaac and an adaptation of a new short story by crime writer Jo Nesbo called London.

According to Deadline, Isaac grabbed up the rights to the story for his production company Mad Gene Media, before persuading Stiller to direct and Eric Roth, writer, most recently, of the new Dune adaptation to tackle scripting chores.

As for the plot? Sadly, because this is one is at an early stage, there are no details available yet – presumably, only those who have read the story know what it's about, though it keeps being described as a "high concept thriller".

Lionsgate has the rights to the eventual film, with Stiller also producing. There's no word yet on when this one might start shooting. As for Isaac, he'll be seen in the aforementioned Dune and Paul Schrader's The Card Counter.
