If you were wondering just how the blend of live-action and CG would work in the new Sonic The Hedgehog movie... Well, you might have to wait until the first pictures or trailer to figure that one. We do at least know who will be voicing the title character, though, as Ben Schwartz has scored that job.

The Sonic movie, which includes the likes of James Marsden, Tika Sumpter and Jim Carrey, has Jeff Fowler on directing duty.

Though not much has been released about the story, it'll likely include some elements from the game it'll be based on, with Sonic on a quest to defeat Dr. Robotnik (Carrey).

Schwartz is a comedy specialist who has been voicing plenty of characters of late, including Dewey in the new TV version of Duck Tales. He also provided early voice work for BB-8 in Star Wars: The Force Awakens. The new Sonic film will arrive in the States on 15 November next year and is headed to the UK on 13 December the same year.
