Playing a seer in his next movie, Hearts in Atlantis, has obviously had an impact on Anthony Hopkins, who this week tells the Canadian press that he's convinced such powers exist; "I totally accept there are people who can glimpse the future,' he tells the Calgary Sun in an interview that covers such wide-ranging topics as his adoption of American citizenship and returning to the role of Hannibal Lecter. Back in the days before he came to fame, Hopkins explains that he was desperate to escape from his home in rural Wales. However he lacked the motivation until he had a chance encounter with Liz Taylor's hubby. 'Richard Burton came to my hometown. He signed an autograph for me. He was Welsh and he had become a famous actor... At that moment, I wanted to be like him. I wanted to get away not only from my little town but from all my personal limitations. It was not long after that I became an actor.' While he wouldn't give much away about his future movements, Hopkins had this to say about returning to the role of Lecter. 'I have played Hannibal twice and will likely play him again (in the proposed Red Dragon prequel).'
