Rolling out its latest animated fairytale to live-action movie transformation, Disney debuted the latest – and reportedly final – trailer for Beauty And The Beast on US TV last night. Take a look...
This take on the Tale As Old As Time finds Emma Watson as the headstrong, ahead-of-her-time Belle, swapping life (and the annoying amorous intentions of Luke Evans' preening Gaston) in a small village for the castle of a beast. Trading her freedom for her father's, she discovers the place is under a curse, with the hairy creature in actuality a tragic figure (who wants nothing more than to revert to his human, Dan Stevens-shaped form) and the various animated objects that represent his household staff transformed along with him.
From there, it's a slow kindling of feelings, a little dancing, some literary appreciation and... well, you'll have to watch to find out the rest, won't you?
With Josh Gad, Ian McKellen, Ewan McGregor, Emma Thompson, Gugu Mbatha-Raw, Stanley Tucci and Kevin Kline in the cast and Bill Condon directing, Beauty And The Beast will waltz on to UK screens on 17 March.
