A lot of what we've seen from The Golden Compass thus far has been very pretty and family friendly, with lots of pastels and twinkly snow. The clip below (or here) that's now running on Myspace shows something a little more grown up, with its down and dirty bear on bear action. Fighting that is.
This snippet shows the battle between true bear king Iorek Byrnison and pretender to his throne Ragnar Sturlusson (changed from the book's Iofur Raknison). The winner will lead the bears and become the official mascot of Coca Cola, or something. Aside from a little dodgy compositing around Lyra, this is looking very good, with the CG on this thing improving with every clip we see.
