We have some bad news for recent Empire Podcast interviewee Sienna Miller: the position of Catwoman, which she expressed interest in, has been filled. Big Little Lies' Zoë Kravitz will play the character in The Batman.

Robert Pattinson is starring in the new DC film, with Matt Reeves in the director's chair, working from the script he wrote with Mattson Tomlin. The plot details are still under wraps, but now we know that Selina Kyle will show up in some capacity. But will she be friend? Or Foe? Or both? It's not Kravitz' first time in the role, either: she voiced Catwoman in The Lego Batman Movie.

Selina Kyle first appeared in Batman comics as The Cat in issue one back in 1940. She's been brought to the screen many times since, including by the likes of Michelle Pfeiffer, Halle Berry and Anne Hathaway.

Jonah Hill is in talks for an unspecified villain role, while Jeffrey Wright has been linked to the role of Commissioner Gordon. Reeves is planning to kick off shooting this January in London, with the film due out on 25 June, 2021.
