Ashton Kutcher Faces Five Killers

Ashton Kutcher and Robert Luketic have signed on for action comedy Five Killers, set to go into production early next year. But your first instinct is wrong - this film will not be about five Punk'd victims trying to get their own back.

Instead, Kutcher will play a retired hitman whose life is understandably turned upside down when someone from his past hires five assassins to do him in. We're guessing that he has to find out who hired them, while dodging bullets and trading quips with, oh, say either a mismatched buddy forced along for the ride or some nubile assassinette.

Luketic, probably still best known for rom-coms like Legally Blonde, most recently directed 21, which means that he and Kutcher may well bond over making Vegas films, since Mr Demi Moore's last effort was What Happens in Vegas. Bob DeRosa (The Air I Breathe) wrote the script, with Ted "Ocean's Eleven" Griffin doing a rewrite as we speak.
