Exclusive update on John Malkovich's next project

In town and camping it up a treat for his role as the evil Pascal Sauvage in Johnny English, John Malkovich did stop to share a few words about his much delayed upcoming project, Art School Confidential. "I met with [director] Terry Zwigoff about a week ago. We have a second draft from [writer] Dan Clowes and Terry will go to work now with Dan on a third and maybe a fourth draft. It's, I imagine, a year away. Maybe less." The man responsible for cult graphic novel Ghost World - also adapted for the screen by Zwigoff - Clowes wrote Art School Confidential as a satirical take on celebrity. The graphic novel features and undercover cop who, implausibly, finds an enthusiastic audience for his aesthetic attempts and turns into artistic sensation. The film will feature Malkovich in the starring role, though he can't claim to be a fan of the story in its original incarnation. "It was brought to me and I just thought the script was hilarious.
