The adaptation of the Uncharted games is one of the movies that has been in development for so long that many of us have begun to wonder if it'll ever actually happen. But there is some forward movement to report, with word that Antonio Banderas is the latest addition to the film, which aims to star Tom Holland and Mark Wahlberg.

And Banderas is not the only piece of casting to report, as Sophia Ali and Tati Gabrielle are also boarding the movie. Per Variety, we don't yet know who the new trio will be playing.

Also locked in at last? Reuben Fleischer, who had been mentioned as Sony's top choice for the director's chair, and who will now oversee production. Art Marcum and Matt Holloway are on script duty for the film, which finds treasure hunter Nathan Drake (Holland) at an earlier stage of life than we usually meet him in the games.

All being well, Uncharted will be on screens from 5 March next year.
