It's a funny coincidence that one of the most significant movies to feature Anthony Mackie in uniform was selected for the US National Film Registry the same day a teaser for a very different Mackie project dropped. Check out the first look at sci-fi action pic Outside The Wire.

Set in the future, the movie finds Damson Idris as Leo, a drone pilot who finds himself suddenly posted to a deadly militarized zone where he'll have to stop weapons tech falling into the wrong hands. He'll be working with Captain Harp (Mackie), a soldier with some very powerful tech of his own. Can Leo work with the android officer to locate a doomsday device? We're hoping he can, at least...

With Mikael Håfström in the director's chair, this has a script from Alice Allemano, Arash Amel, Rowan Athale and Rob Yescombe. It'll hit Netflix on 15 January.
