They've been on different sides of the good/bad equation in the MCU, but it appears Anthony Mackie and Frank Grillo are ready to work together in a new movie. They're starring in a new thriller called Point Blank.

While this one won't irk fans of the 1967 Lee Marvin-starring John Boorman film, it might still suffer the slings and arrows of those who enjoyed the 2010 French film that shared the title but not the concept.

Still, Mackie and Grillo sharing the screen is still a compelling reason to make the film, and the story will find Mackie playing a nurse who is forced to help a wounded murder suspect (Grillo) flee a hospital when the man's brother kidnaps his pregnant wife for a trade. So maybe the team-up isn't exactly all for the good...

Mayhem's Joe Lynch is directing from Adam G. Simon's script, and Grillo will produce alongside Joe Carnahan through their War Party company. The cameras should be rolling this summer.
