Ant-Man was a comedy delight from Marvel, and, following on from Scott Lang's (Paul Rudd) brief-but-impactful appearance in Captain America: Civil War, we'll get the sequel to the 2015 original this year, Ant-Man And The Wasp. A new image from the movie, featuring Scott and fellow suited hero Hope van Dyne (Evangeline Lilly) has arrived.

The new film promises to address both Scott's using the technology out among the wider MCU and will have more of a focus on Hope figuring out her own methods as The Wasp. Michael Douglas returns as Dr. Hank Pym, and there will finally an answer to the mystery of what happened with his wife – Hope's mother – Janet van Dyne, to be played here by Michelle Pfeiffer.

We can expect more shrinking action and Giant Man suit use, plus the return of Michael Pena's chatty Luis. Also in the cast are Hannah John-Kamen, Walton Goggins and Laurence Fishburne. Ant-Man And The Wasp lands here on 3 August. You can learn more about the film from director Peyton Reed in the current issue of Empire.
