Though he’s more often been found in the teen-targeting titles such as the Divergent series and The Fault In Our Stars, Ansel Elgort is switching things up with a variety of projects. He’s now attached to star in CIA drama **Code Name Veil{ =nofollow}.

Matt Billingsly wrote the script for the film, which is inspired by real events. Elgort’s role is that of a fresh-faced CIA agent in 1980s Beirut who investigates attacks against the US embassy and a Marine barracks during one of the particularly violent periods in 1983. Things take an even more dangerous turn when his station chief is kidnapped and the inexperienced agent has to figure out some creative ways to save the man he considers a mentor.

Kill The Messenger’s Michael Cuesta is on board to direct the film, which doesn’t have a start date yet. Elgort, however, will next be seen in the next Divergent instalment,** Allegiant: Part 1**, which is scheduled to hit UK cinemas on March 18 next year. He’s also preparing to work on Edgar Wright’s new film, Baby Driver, which screeches over here on March 17, 2017 and really can’t quite arrive quickly enough.
