Andrew Niccol is a man known for exploring technological issues and futuristic stories, and he's back in that territory for his latest, Anon, which stars Clive Owen and Amanda Seyfried. We have an exclusive look at the UK trailer for the movie.
Anon is set in a near-future world where the government has all but wiped out crime by eliminating privacy, thus creating total surveillance and de facto self-censorship. Police officer Sal Frieland (Owen) works to fight the remaining problems in his city and is investigating a murder case. Things take a huge turn when he meets a hacker known as The Girl (Seyfried), who has somehow subverted the system and disappeared – what she knows might just lead him to blow the whistle on his own government...
With Colm Feore, Sonya Walger and Mark O'Brien in the cast, Anon is released to UK cinemas and Sky Cinema on 11 May.
