Doug Liman might be figuring out how to make one of the most ambitious and expensive movies ever made with his Tom Cruise-in-space pic, but while he waits for Cruise to be finished with his current Mission: Impossible duties, he's planning something much more modest. The director has Anne Hathaway in final talks for Lockdown.

Steven Knight wrote the script for the film, which according to Deadline, is a heist mixed with a romantic comedy set during the heavier lockdown phase of the pandemic. Quite how it'll all work out remains to be seen, but Liman is looking to fill out the cast and wants to be shooting by the end of the month.

As for Hathaway, she'll next be seen in Robert Zemeckis' version of Roald Dahl's The Witches, which is awaiting a release date in 2021.
