Angels And Demons Gets Female Lead

Today is so slow, newsily speaking, that we may soon have to unleash Sammy The Movie News Sloth, but Entertainment Weekly has an interesting casting tidbit. They're reporting that Angels and Demons, Ron Howard's prequel, of sorts, to The Da Vinci Code, has found a female lead.

Ayelet Zurer will play the daughter of Leonardo Vetra, a CERN physicist (CERN being those people with that big machine that will shoot atoms at each other next week and bring the entire world to an end). After the death of her father, she teams up with Robert Langdon (Tom Hanks) to uncover the identity of her father's killer and stop a terrorist plot.

If you recognise Zurer from Munich, then well done you.
